Using window.status can be helpful when trying to debug javascript code, but it’s not available by default when using Firefox. Here’s how to turn it on.

Go to Firefox > Preferences > Content Tab. Click Advanced next to where it says Enable JavaScript. Check Change Status Bar Text and you’re all set.
