I believe this video is from the latest patch for PS3. It seems like they might have gone a bit overboard in nerfing this attachment. You’d think that night vision would at least work a little bit on a dark map like Metro.

IRNV Attachment Gets Major Nerf in Latest Battlefield 3 Patch
Wednesday, November 30th, 2011Battlefield 3: Battlelog “Logging In” Bug Fix
Tuesday, November 29th, 2011I’ve seen a lot of responses online about this issue and I thought I would post a fix that has worked for me. I’ve tried various fixes posted online but this is the only one that has worked for me with regularity. Here are the details:
Problem: When trying to connect to a server through Battlelog, the small box at the bottom gets stuck on “Logging In…” and eventually the connection is severed.
Solution: Open another tab within your browser. Navigate to youtube.com and play start playing any video. It will only take a second or two of playback, but if you switch back to the Battlelog tab, you should see the message “Connecting”. I realize this fix sounds really bizarre, but it does actual seem to work.
I’m going to try to post a video demonstration of this fix because I know how strange it sounds. If this does end up working for you, please post a comment.
For reference, here are the specs of the system I’m running:
i7 Intel Quad-Core
6GB Ram
Nvidia GTX 470
Windows 7 64bit
Chrome Browser
Please let me know if this ends up helping you. Thanks!
BioShock 2: Meh
Thursday, March 4th, 2010The video below pretty much sums up my feelings about BioShock 2.
The one thing that he does fail to cover is BioShock 2′s multiplayer. I had some high hopes for the multiplayer as the idea of wielding plasmids and rocket launchers sounded appealing to me. Unfortunately, for the most part the multiplayer fails to deliver.
Just walking around on a multiplayer level has a bit of clunky feel to it. I’m not sure if this is a netcode issue or is due to the number on inanimate objects littered around the map. The leveling and matchmaking systems seem nice, but the lack of host migration is bad as I think it’s something players have become used to *cough* MW2 *cough*.
Even though BioShock 2 has multiplayer, the game still seems like more of the same. Aside from the drill, nearly all the weapons were the same as the original. Changing a crossbow to a spear gun doesn’t add anything to the game. The only bonus weapon-wise is the addition of the remote hack device. I wouldv’e really liked to have seen them add something as simple as wielding 2 plasmids at once (fire and ice anyone?).
The worst part is they seemed to leave things open for a BioShock 3. If you’re not going to add anything new, please just make it DLC rather than have people drop $60.
Shadow Complex Rocks!
Thursday, August 20th, 2009I finally found a game that was able to pry me away from Battlefield 1943: Shadow Complex
The gameplay is similar to the old Metroid games, but with updated graphics powered by the Unreal engine. The controls are pretty good, but the aiming takes a little getting used to. Check out the video below to get a better idea on the gameplay:
Overall the game is great, and well worth the $15 it cost me on Xbox Live. Go get it today, you won’t be disappointed!
